Ultrasounds are used to detect the possibility of Edward's Syndrome in unborn fetuses. Clues used for indication include persistent abnormal hand/finger position, choroid plexus cysts, cardiac defects, and two-vessel umbilical cord.
Currently, there is no possible way to prevent the syndrome from happening in advance.
